JAMAICA

Jamaica was one of the many countries to have slaves go there during the african diaspora, like every other country slavery was harsh and brutal. The estimated number of slaves that were transported was 600,000(Klein25-45). The sugar estates grew huge over that time period, from 57 to 430. The slaves helped the sugar industry thrive during this time, so much so the colonist were impressed so they kept shipping them to the west indies.
